She sits across from me in the room...
Easily confused yet easily amused.

As she sits I find myself captivated...
She doesn't seem much appreciated.

I do wonder why...
That emptiness in her eyes.

Her friend sits next to her but doesn't speak...
Shows her a picture as she taps her with her feet..
Begins to smile as she looks at the image on the sheet.

Now I don't know what it is...
But I believe something here I miss.

Her friend stands and walks away...
Again shes alone wondering away.

It's not just her beauty that gets my attention...
There is something lingering that isn't in mention...
She is not one who can have any kind of conversation...
So how can I ever tell her my loving affection?

How do you say I love you to a girl that can't hear?..
How do you say I love you when words are never clear?

If I was ever left in a single moment in time...
I surely would know what to do to show she is mine.

I would....
Pass my hands through her bright long hair...
Giving soft butterfly kisses everywhere.

Have her feel my hands through out her skin...
Let her feel I love her from the outside and within.

Then rub my nose tenderly on her cheek...
Words aren't needed for the goal I seek.

Hold her hand tightly to let her know...
How important in my life her love goes...
Instead of an I love you I will let it show.

At last her ride finally pulls up as it arrives...
She quickly gets up and runs happily as she passes me by.

Once more destiny foils my perfect plan...
She's taken from me by the same car, woman and man.

And so there alone against the wall I once more stood...
Mind filled with questions of could, would and should.

As I turned around to leave down the corridor's hall...
I find an object on the floor leaning against the wall...
It appears to be her purse from her lap it did fall...
I guess it seems that destiny isn't that bad after all.
